Damlataş Cave is a seaside cave in the Alanya district of Antalya. It is 3 km away from Alanya city center and located on the west coast of the historical Alanya Castle. The cave was named Damlataş because of the water drops that continue to drip from the stalactites. It was found as a result of a dynamite ignition in its current location, which was identified as a quarry to be used in the construction of the port in 1948. This cave, decorated with thousands of beautiful stalactites and stalagmites, was immediately taken under protection, research on the cave was started and it was opened to tourism. Damlataş Cave is Turkey's first cave opened to tourism. When you enter through the door of the cave, there is a 50 m long passage, a cylindrical space with a diameter of 13-14 m and a height of 15 m, as well as columns that were formed over 15000 years.
